Emily first volunteered in Teach For India in 2021 and founded the ReadHer Foundation to fight gender literacy disparities after being inspired by a book club she co-founded in a girls' school in New Delhi.

As a fundraising manager, my responsibilities include designing and implementing strategic fundraising campaigns, cultivating relationships with donors, and identifying potential funding opportunities. I leverage various channels and techniques to raise funds, such as organizing events, launching online crowdfunding campaigns, and seeking corporate sponsorships. Additionally, I ensure transparency and accountability in all fundraising activities, providing regular reports on the allocation and impact of funds. Through effective fundraising management, charities can sustain their operations, expand their reach, and make a significant difference in the lives of those they serve.
